Kenya Safari (with optional Uganda Gorilla Trek)

February-March 2023

This expedition will offer our guests one of the most remarkable experiences in the world. The itinerary below provides a high level outline for each day, including:

  • Breathtaking views from Amboseli National Park with Mount Kilimanjaro as a back drop;

  • Exploring the Great Rift Valley, including Lake Nakuru and the Maasai Mara;

  • Seeing some of the most iconic (and often critically endangered) animals of our time:

    • rhino, elephant, leopard, cheetah, giraffes, lions, gazelle, hyena, zebra, and so much more.

  • Socially responsible travelling with experiences that directly support the local people, including the Maasai tribes and humanitarian efforts with local orphanages.

  • BONUS: An optional trip extension to Uganda to see the rare Mountain Gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

  • While this is a free day to acclimatize upon arrival in Nairobi, a private driver is available to visit the Giraffe Sanctuary in the morning, enjoy lunch at a local eatery, and shop at the local bead factories, Utamaduni craft shop and Maasai market.

February 21-22: Amboseli National Park, Satao Elerai Camp

  • Feb 21: Our drivers will meet you after breakfast at Eka Hotel to travel to Amboseli National Park; home to over 1500 African Elephants. Enjoy your first safari excursion with a sunset game drive.

  • There are options for Hot Air Balloon flights over the Mara and opportunities to visit the local Maasai villages.

March 2-3: Olare Motorogi Conservancy, Olare Mara Kempinski Camp

  • Continue to enjoy sunrise and sunset game drives seeing all the "usual suspect" creatures of the Mara, but inside the Conservancy.
